As reported in another thread my new pre-fit Remington barrel from Jeff looks like it is going to be a real shooter. Best 3 shot group so far is under .20" I put the new barreled action in a H-S Precision old style Sendero stock with minimal sanding required of the barrel channel. In my hurry (excitement) to shoot the new gun I decided to not bed the action and shoot it first after installing the action into the stock per H-S Precision guidelines. SO....therein lies the quandary. Leave the gun alone and keep shooting it without bedding or go ahead and bed it?? It's hard to imagine that it would shoot any better than it already is by bedding it. When I have bedded rifles in the past I have typically used Devcon aluminum putty. Any thoughts/opinions on the subject.

If accuracy degrades then bed. No need to fix a problem you do not have. 10

I normally bed and pillar my SMLs but if I had one that shot that good I would be hesitant to change anything. If you would lose that accuracy it might be hard to get back.

I have a sml in a HS Precision stock that is not beded and it shoots well enough to not even think about bedding it.

as long as it's not showing signs of moving in the block and accuracy stays leave it as is.
