I had Bestill convert a Knight Ultra Lite .50 I had sitting in the safe to a 45 sml last fall. Only got to shoot it a couple times before deer season so I wanted to get it to the range and shoot it some more.

The 200 FTX is a .452 bullet. So smooth sized.... The bullet was designed for the 460 S&W.

Don't have a chrono right now. The trace I looked at for the 35 grs of N110 and a 200 grain bullet showed 2400 but that is with a thinner jacketed bullet so this load may be a little slower. The 10/50 duplex trace with the same bullet showed right at 2700.
Don't plan to hunt with the 10/50 duplex load since it is well above the fps that bullet was designed for. Would it work sure but probably pretty explosive.

The 200 FTX is a .452 bullet. So smooth sized.... The bullet was designed for the 460 S&W. Good shootin'! I can get them to shoot like that in a McGowen barrel, but in both a .451 and .458 PN barrels, they're all over the place. Off topic, but they also work well for a .45 Colt by trimming the cases down enough the cannelure can be crimped in the correct place. Got several hundred blemished a few years ago and decided to use them for something else when they would not shoot well in my main muzzle loaders.

Good shooting Scott.............looks like the single of N-110 outshot the duplex! But then in another group that could be reversed? Sometimes you just pull the trigger better or the wind cooperates. One needs multiple groups to come to a good conclusion! Looks like you are on the right track!

I have shot the single load and the duplex a few times now and the single load of N110 has won each time.

Any chance an older knight disc with rusted barrel could be rebarreled and converted to smokeless?
