Is anyone using/seeing good results with IMR 3031 in stock MLII?

Old PDF file says 3031 in a 50cal is for big boomers. 350gr bullets and up. Probably better off with a 400gr too. 75gr+ and a 400gr bullet is basically a 404 Jeffery load.
Not many elephants around these parts so i never really tried it.

I think you would also have serious ignition problems with 3031. On the other hand, you could duplex it? I shot a lot of 15/55.......N-110/H-322 or N-130. These are slow powders also, just never tried 3031. And those loads were shot with saboted 250 gr. bullets.

Not many elephants around these parts so i never really tried it. Looks like I'll be sizing some 750 grain BMG bullets to accommodate the powder🤔.....or just leave the 3031 for the 45.
