So awhile back I did the freezer test where I took the gun, loaded it with 85 grains of 3031, 325 Accumax and a primed HIS module and froze it for 26 hours. BANG no hesitation right after pulling it out of the freezer. I never got a chance to test the load in normal temps and after freezing it with a chronograph, but here is my real world experience. The load is 91 grains of 3031, 325 Accumax, Fed 215 primers, HIS ignition. This load gave me a average of 2870 FPS in 50-55 degree temperatures.
Sighted in a 100 yards, at 200 yards in needed 2 minutes of elevation.
Drove out last week to hunt and the powder was kept in the back of the truck in 20 degree temps. Got to camp and it was probably about 35 degrees in the shop where the gun and powder were kept. Shooting temps were in the low teens. Wanted to check the gun in those temps and to make sure it was on from the trip. 2 shots at 100 yards right in the bull. Moved out to 200 yards and those 2 shots were dead on elevation with the same 2 minutes of compensation.
Not months of testing in various different temperatures but based off this I am feeling it is fairly close if your shooting enough powder and bullet to make good pressure.

Awesome! Thanks for the update. I never doubted 3031 when used with the HIS system. All of my testing and results have been very positive.

Good info Kenny! 3031 is my powder of choice for the 325's. The best group I have ever shot with any rifle was with my Hankins Custom Rifle, 95 gr of 3031 and my 325's, .094" ctc. Ignition is instant every time, regardless of any temperature I've shot it in.

my experience so far with 3031, 325s and 209s in the mid 90s this summer my avg for the load i shoot was 2937 last time out in the low 40s my avg was 2833 just my experience in a 209 gun, If i used a mag primer I'm sure my speeds would increase but i would bet the swing would still be there?
