I currently have Ruger 77 cf in a .50 smokeless. I wanting to get a .45 brux barrel for it so I can go sabotless. I could go back to the original builder but he only uses green mountain barrels. Any suggestions would be great.

Talk to the member called Hank on this forum.
I have heard of some of these guns converted however it is my understanding that Ruger uses a smaller barrel diameter at the breech end then Remington or Savage therefore when you install a breech plug you have less material left around the barrel.
I'm not sure of the actual barrel dimension and by NO means am I a gunsmith, Hank is a qualified gunsmith who can advise you about converting a Ruger, installation of a breech-plug and the the purchase of a Brux barrel that he sells.
Good luck

Tenon 1" 16tpi. You should be able to have a 1.15" to 1.2" shank.

I was hoping Hank would chime in. I really believe this gun is a good action for the build.
