finally got to range today.25mph crossing wind but i needed to test.three days to maryland deer season.im chasing sitka and they have thicker hides. gun was o with 275be.one high at 100yrds.first shot one in low and four in right due to wind.second shot made hole bigger. going in the right direction.using vegge wad and 250gr tmz.56gr 4198. had two bullets slightly looser.group opened to two in. dialed up scope to raise poi. and once again two bullets touching.so now i found the right bullet size. in my gun .4495 is the right size. now to two hundred yrds. pointing the crosshairs dead on but four in left.hit six in right and six in . low . second shot right next to first shot 1 in apart.the right impact due to 25 to 30 mph crosswind. veggie wads and barnes 250 looks good. next is hair test. claymanjack

Good luck on the hunt! I'm predicting a successful test.
TEZ or TMZ? TEZ has a flat base, TMZ is the boattail.

It would be nice if someone were to make a veggie type wad that would conform to the boattail design of the TMZ on one side but flat on the bottom (powder) side. The boattail would really help the BC. How about it Kyle? An AeroMaxx with a boattail and conforming wad! I think you would hit a "home run!" OR.....................................make it similar to a brass/copper "gas check!" Just bevel the inside to conform to the boattail base of the bullet. It would seem like a "no brainer" to punch these out of sheet copper?

claymanjack, Did you use a smooth form die or full form to size the bullets? Did you try any without sizing?
