what thickness vegge wads is everyone using .030 or .060 thickness thanks claymanjack

I use the .060 with Parker 275 Mh. And 70 gns H4198.. Mark

I have tested both the .030 and the .060 and could not really tell the difference? That being said, I buy only the .060. I have also tried two .030's with no difference?

Not sure of the size I don't have one close by to check, however I purchased them from Kyle and they helped out tremendously in my TC Encore conversion.

What is the reason for and benefit of using a wad? Does it act as a gas seal?

In may case I was having a issue with the gas seal and the veggi wad solved that, my TC encore conversion was getting extreme speed spreads without them.
Once I started using the veggi wads my accuracy improved greatly as well as very consistent speeds when shot through the chronograph.
