What is the difference between the Hornady SST 250 grain .452" and FTX 250 grain .452"? I can't see or measure any difference.

The FTX are supposed to be the flex tip (softer). The SST are the older version hard tip sold for muzzleloaders. I have herd guys over the years say the SST has penciled thru for them. But I have not experienced it on a couple deer. Now I have a huge amount of ftx blems and have zero issues with them.

Seems like the last SST's (250gr) I got were flex tip?? Unless they just packed FTX's wrong? I have been thinking they are now one in the same.

They still sell them labeled differently, but I agree same bullet now. I have boxes of the 300gr SST marked as m/l bullets.
