Currently running 10/58 of 4749/4198. I curious to using a sabot bridge is actually helping with blow by. Testing today with terrible results on 3 different bullets.( 250 monoflex, 275 BE, & 250 cutting edge) I'm shooting a PR conversion Ruger .50 cal 26" barrel with LMR ignition. Was curious if that combo is to high of pressures for sabot use? Powder combo for saboted gun? Would like to be around the 2500fps. Thanks

Toad...........The post is a little confusing? What is a sabot bridge? Which sabots are you using? How tight or loose is your fit? In a .50, you want two hand pressure when seating the bullets. What velocities are you getting now and with which weight bullets? I would shoot 10/60 of N-110/H-4198 with 300 gr. bullets and my velocities were in and around 2460 fps. Different sabots will give diffeent seating pressure. If your using Harvester sabots, you should be using the red crush ribs with the .451-,452" bullets and the black crush ribs with the .458 bullets. Don't know it this helps?

Did you give your barrel enough time to cool between shots? Sabots cannot take much heat in SML.

Attached is the bullets I was using. A sabot bridge is added to the sabot for added gas check. As far as the sabots go I'm using what manufacturer sent with the bullet. All bullets require two hand seating. I haven't chrono'd this set up as yet.

I am not saying they are the same thing but they look like what some of us think to be sub bases.

I just looked them up and some retailers list them as ballistic bridge sub base so I think they are the same thing

Yes it's a sub base ballistic bridge.
