Just got back from a Colorado mule deer/elk combo hunt. Unfortunately I was not able to connect with an elk, I did get this mule deer. A 300 yard shot with my Hankins Custom 300 WSM. Great trip, with tons of walking. the guide said we walked about 7-8 miles a day. The camp was at 8200 feet above sea level, and we hunted above that mostly at 9000'. Highest point was right at 10,000'. This was very tough hunt, but the funnest hunt I have ever did. I really like the idea of the spot and stalk.

Good deer and a good shot as well. it was the rifle. 1/2" groups all day with 180 Accubonds. I haven't tried any match grade bullets, to see how good it would shoot. I can't shoot any better than 1/2" groups
