The response to the AccuMax .452" has been great. I appreciate all of the support you guys have given me in this endeavor. For me, accuracy is number 1 in bullet design. You spoke, I listened. Higher BC bullets is the result. I have designed and prototyped the next series of .452's that will yield much higher BC's and should be as accurate as the original AccuMax. Testing will begin in December with the 325's and 350's. If the field testing is successful, the new design should be available by February in high quantities. Planned weights are 325 to 400 grains, maybe as low as 300. Stay tuned to www.pittmanbullets.com and Hank's TV for breaking news! P.S. The original AccuMax is not going away.

All that punishment will send you to an early grave! Design one with good BC and another medium to keep the weight down. Is that possible? My younger days of 'heavy kickers' are gone.

Honestly just for hunting a heavier bullet would not be that bad to shoot . I just don't want to shoot a 350 grain bullet 50 to 75 shots in one day like I have done in the past .

Ready to shoot some of the high BC 325 against the original 325 Accumax out to 500 or 600 yds.

Kyle your right about having to go to a higher weight bullet to gain more B.C. But there is always a trade off between a little higher B.C. compared to a drop in velocity. Also other powders will have to be considered if your thinking about shooting a 350 to 400 grain bullet with IMR 4198 or H 4198. Also just how many bullets do you think you will sell in this higher weight range it does come down to economics.
I give you a lot of credit for taking on this job of making a custom bullet for the long range muzzleloader crowd. Most people have no idea how much time and effort goes into making a custom bullet.
Also I am sorry to say I have not had a chance to test the bullets you sent me on the last round the ones with the hard cores. I have spent most of my time with 1,000 yard competition and doing some test work with X-Caliber barrels so now that the weather is cooling down I hope to give your bullets another try. Keep up the good work!

Kyle will get all weights on board if it's doable, trust me. for the guys that are in the extreme range game with these guns the lard butt bullets are king, anything heavier than 350 will likely not see much use but I will bet the 300-350s will for sure, a 275 would be nice but is it doable in this profile? we will see.
I look forward to sending some down range and some meat testing..

I have spent most of my time with 1,000 yard competition and doing some test work with X-Caliber barrels so now that the weather is cooling down I hope to give your bullets another try. Keep up the good work! Slower powders will definitely need to be used to get good velocity and keep the pressures down with the heavier bullets. I'm currently using IMR301 with my 325's and it shoots pretty good. Velocity is 2940 on average. Not saying that the 4198's won't work with 325's, they definitely do. Offering higher BC bullets up to 400 grains will give people more choices. It's surprising how much lower the muzzle velocity can be with a heavier, higher BC bullet and shoot faster down range than a lighter bullet with a higher muzzle velocity. Look at what the BPCR guys do at 1000 with Sharps, Ballards ect with 500 plus grainers. Sometimes a heavier bullet traveling slower gets the job done just as good or even better. Some guys want and need to shoot lighter bullets. Some want to stretch it out and experiment with heavier bullets. Either way I hope to have a choice for everyone.
