I ate a lot of food like this as a kid growing up including fried squirrel and rabbit and Pheasant,quail.frogs,turtle,catfish,bluegill,deer,muskrat,beaver,canned veggies and fruits and baked goods from the wood fired oven and whatever was stored in the root cellar. And throw in the calf and hog we butchered every year.I didn't know we was poor because I thought we ate like royalty!! lol
