I tested the 270 EMax with my Rem 700 ML with 1:22 twist .45 McGowen barrel using 95 grains by weight of BH209.
Fed. 209a primer .060 Veggie wad No sizing just pack to bore MV about 2400 fps
100 yards Jugs are 13.5" long and filled with water
The bullet never made it to the second jug. All the pieces were found on the ground around the first jug. All the pieces weigh 95.4 grs. I will mark this one off the list as a hunting bullet with this load.
More to come...

Scott, I would hunt deer with that no issues. I guess it depends on what game you are wanting to shoot but the 275BE does that also at Smokeless speeds. Every deer I've shot with it dropped right there. An exit hole is cool but so is a bullet that will transfer all its energy into the deer. Two exit holes are good when you have to track a deer.

Mike, I have shot a number of deer with the 275BE but at slower speeds and it drops them in there tracks. I have no doubt the emax will do the same thing but some of the areas I hunt are so thick you cant walk through them so I really like a bullet that exits and leaves a blood trail. I tested the 275BE at 300 yards and will post the result shortly.

Do you think you are getting full engagement down the bottom of the grove Scott?

Do you think you are getting full engagement down the bottom of the grove Scott? No I don't think it is filling the groove fully but it is engraved.

Pretty much what I expected from the Emax since it has the same jacket thickness as the BE.

Only issue I fear is of eating bullet pieces. You can't beat the drt effect, but... Gotta shoot head/neck with a bullet like that.
