Started testing these back in March. The bullets are 300gn, will be available in flat-base or boat-tail and .452 or .458 so you can size them either way. There is the option for a cheaper practice bullet too. I will post a full report on the blog on Saturday morning. I should have them in stock in 6-8 weeks.

Looking good! Tip material? What is the OAL?

The tip is a brass plunger with international patent. Length is 1.210" so will stabilize in just about any modern muzzleloading rifle.

Nice looking candy there. Will you have them available to possibly shoot at August challenge? Pick up at the challenge if you be there? I really like the recent "eye candy" showing up. 10

I can't say for sure. The limiting factor is the new import permit clearing. We've expanded options over what we initially tested and so the new stuff requires a new import permit and it currently takes 6-8 weeks to get that approved. From time of order to production is about 2 weeks. The lag time is red tape.

So these are cup and core bullets and you are just importing the tips? If so, how fat is the stem that goes inside the bullet?

No, they are a monolithic copper bullet with a brass tip all of which are turned on Swiss lathes. The practice bullet is a solid (no tip) and is a cheaper duplicate that shoots just like the hunting version only cheaper.

Thanks Jeff.
With all the bellyaching over advertising I try to keep it to a minimum. Last time I had something new someone here went to the trouble of making a profile and their first post was to berate me over free advertising since I think it is bad for forums but followed the status quo. When in Rome...
Since then I very selectively choose what I post here on the forums because I am a member of both. Circles don't have sides and while I have no desire to try and become the Hegemon that bridges the divide I also try to be fair enough to range between the two with impunity. Facebook and my blog on the website is where I do any real revealing of pics, products, testing, or any other real writing about SML I feel like doing now. It's my own drama free world.
To answer your question they shoot good and stay in one piece.

Keith, that bullet is going to be a nice option for the up close and personal shots. Also it would be great if you could put a shoot together here in NC, I would love to attend and bring some of my pea shooters.

Thanks Hammer, we are happy with them. I didn't think much of it when I said something but there are about 20 guys who would like to do a shoot so I'm going to push forward with it. I'm shooting a match at Front Line Defense next weekend so I'll talk to Paul and plan for an alternate if Woody's falls through. Front Line is on the east side of Raleigh. It should be doable either way and the facilities have similar capabilities. Jeff, had to post this on the other site so here's a pic of practice bullet and hunting bullet:
