Wasn't thinking this one thru when I picked up the #6 Brux. The concern is the minimum wall thickness when wanting to install a MB. With a 26in barrel @ .75 dia. what would be the options for installing a MB. One could possibly thread the barrel for a 3/4-32 and shoulder against the muzzle??? With the slight taper of the barrel one could match the taper and press fit it on??? Anyone out there even put a brake on a #6?

An 11/16x24 tpi self timing brake would be an option. Message or email HANK

I have installed 100's of brakes on the #6 barrel. Nevr had a problem. Use either an 11/16-32 or a 5/8-32. I have never heard of anyone wanting to or thinking of pressing a brake on the end of a barrel.

Hank, does the self timing brakes work were the threads push against each other therefore the brake body is not shouldering against anything thus solely relying on the threads to center the axis of the MB?

Thanks for the feed back. I will go with the 11/16-32 11/16 - 24 instead of 32 if you think you might ever consider going with a suppressor.

I have switched to 24 pitch threads on all my builds now Guys have trouble cross threading the 32 for some reason, I’ve also had some ding the threads The 24 pitch is still fine enough to stay hand tight but a little more robust
