Does this bullet require resizing with the CVA Scout V2 TD 45-70 Conversion ?

In the Scout I tired them in did. How did they shoot for you? I’m looking at the star tip 2p, star tip mz, and stb from Fury or the Pittman accumax.

Not very well IMO. I tired them with and without a wad.
Pittman bullets are the most accurate bullet I’ve tested in my CVA Scout.

I have had both but IMO Pittman Bullets are the GOLD STANDARD for these MUZZLELOADERS !

Want to try some Fury bullets too, which one was the most accurate up to 200 yard in the CVA ?

Jeff suggested I try the .453 265 STB’’s. I have them on hand but haven’t tried them out yet.

I NEVER could get the 2P’s to shoot out of my conversion either. I tried all sorts of combinations all with less than acceptable results. The ONLY “WAG” I had for a reason was maybe it was due to the 2P’s longer length and increased bearing surface needing a faster twist rate than the conversion allowed for? 🤔 Things changed drastically when I tried the Star Tip ‘MZ’, though. Here’s the BEST group I ever got out of my conversion for 3 shots at 174 yards with the Star Tip ‘MZ’ and a .060 wool wad. It measured .825” CTC. It routinely held 1 minute or better which was just fine for hunting.
