Went jigging for Walleyes yesterday, 40+ degrees in December you just got to take advantage of it, ended up with 7 keepers and 15-20 total. My son surly gave me a schooling on jigging.

I haven't done that in years. I used to get them + Sauger+saugeye at the tailgaters Ohio River in New Martinsville WV from Nov-Apr/May. Where are you fishing?

One of my buddies swears that the best fishing up on Erie is after Thanksgiving. He said they absolutely hammered the walleyes just out of casting distance from shore last December. Trolling in 4 feet of water they were catching monsters, last day of fishing was Dec. 27th. He said putting up with the cold weather was worth the action.

With the proper dress wear it's not bad, feet got a little cold but next time I'll wear the 800 gram boots. When I tubed out my boat I added 1 in. foam board then Aluminum sheet for the floor that keeps the cold from coming up from the cold water. It's out of service for now, had to add a new transom and now rewiring it. We'll be back out after Christmas.
