My heart sank when I realized how "choked" the muzzle end was and the chattering as the bullet traveled down the much looser bore left me wondering if it would even light off... I decided to have my son start with 50 grns of N120 and we pulled the plug and the 275 grn fury had plenty of rifling below it...so we were good there..(thanks for the tip buckeye68) so he loaded up the 50 grn and the 275 fury and got like 1685 fps..I thought this was weak and the next shot confirmed this at 1165fps...gas was escaping around the bullet...we had wool wads on hand and what a HUGE improvement this made! The following shot results stopping at 56 grns of N120 with the wool wad and 275 star tipped fury..2320..2434..2450..2474 fps..following pic is at 50 yards...tomorrow he is taking it to 100 yards to see what he has...

That looks like a very good start at 50 yards. Waiting to see 100 yard data great job.

Been awful busy with work but we have settled on 56 grn of N120 and a wool wad just shy of 2400 fps and ragged one hole groups at a 100 yards...7 deer down this past season...lapped the barrel and it loads easier but need to lap some more..
