Well, even if there was zero actual benefit from cleaning modules, it is pretty low cost insurance for me.

Call me lazy I guess? I’ve fired many hundreds of rounds and I’ve never cleaned one? BUT That’s also with a lot of different guns, not just one.

Each to his own but I clean mine every time when the primer fires it leaves carbon residue in the bottom of the pocket if you don’t clean it out your new primer is setting on carbon and when fired the primer will move before it ignites I know we’re talking milliseconds but in competition everything counts I use a Hornaday tool not sure what it’s called but it doesn’t cut any brass

Everything counts.

Everything counts. Just something to ponder. If you don’t remove the carbon from the bottom of the pocket - the new primer may not seat to the bottom. If that primer sticks up - the bolt can be hard to close. Hard to close bolts vs easy can/will throw a shot out of the group. Just confirming what has already been said. Interesting to hear what works and I’m really surprised at how many don’t clean at all. What about breechplugs ? I hope they are getting cleaned ?

I mainly use DI. I clean my modules after every shot and I clean my plug when it’s time to clean all of my modules. Easy to keep track of that way.

Yes they should be cleaned also not every time but say every 50 or so or at the end of season
