Really depends on your use, both have there pro's and con's (IMO) Just my relatively inexperienced thoughts on the subject. HIS is simpler and easier to use, especially in a hunting situation. DI creates a quicker ignition and gets more energy out of an equal amount of powder. If obturation is quicker with DI, which I expect it is, that is an additional advantage . I use 2 bolt action 40s, have both systems for each rifle. My rifles are for hunting only. I use DI in each rifle. I take plenty of time to reload and don’t mind the extra trouble, even with the bolt actions. At age 76, I may go the easier route of HIS eventually - when I get old. Actually, as soon as gun deer season is over, or tagged out, I think I will do a serious comparison test. With a break-open, the inconvenience of DI is less. However, I think that the lighter weight the bullet is (I only use 228 & 278 - comparatively low compared to 300-325g), the greater the advantage DI has. I suspect that , on average, break-open shooters use lighter bullets than bolt action shooters. My opinion, DI’s advantages are greater with a break-open.
