Hey everyone I just received a cva smokeless. I have a hunt coming up that I can only use copper bullets. My research has lead me to using sabots since I can’t size them copper bullets. I was wondering if anyone would be willing to share some load data for sabots.

Thanks. I was trying to shoot full bore coppers. Would knurled bullets make a difference in full bore?

Yes and you will need a wad with copper solids. They will load a bit harder than jacketed smooth size bullets

Many CVA 45-70 barrels will take a Barnes .451 250 grain TEZ without sizing, my 2 Apex's need a knurl for a good fit and that bullet shoots very well out of them.
