What Hankins scope ring height do you think would get the scope closest to the barrel of a converted cva scout if using a Leupold 3-15x44mm with a 30mm tube? Thanks

I am using medium vortex on mine with 44mm, maybe it could go lower but I like mine where it is.

I email the shop. Give them the scope, base, and rings and go from there. Quick turnaround and they’ll stick by their service.

I also have the Hankins picatinny rail. Buy both the rail and rings and you will be happy. Very good quality. Once I determined where my scope would sit on the rail, I did cut the excess rail off and bedded the rail to the barrel as others on this message board suggested. You can do a search for these posts if you want more info about bedding your rail.

Best way to contact Jeff is by email. It may take him a few days to get back with you, but he has always answered my questions. You can also get most of your questions answered on this message board. There are many members on here that have a lot of experience and are willing to help. They have been a big help to me.

I have the same scope and I used the Hankins 30mm x .875 rings on my Scout. I’ve tried to contact the shop about this, I get no reply It is hunting season and the phone rings off the hook. If you call and it just rings and rings, that means I'm on the phone, if it goes to voice mail, you can leave a message and I will check it asap, however the best way for a quick answer is to email me at hankinsrifles@twc.com and I will answer you there. If you get no reply from email, I eather didn't get it or my reply went to your junk folder. The rings you want to use is 30-.875 for the lowest possible mount. |
