Hey guys new here, I have a cva v2 scout that the trigger guard is sticking when opening, it will stick then pop when opening after good pressure from my index finger. I know this is not normal but can't figure out what is going on. I can hold the guard back and close the breech then let the guard move forward and it opens flawless. Any suggestions as to what's going on here many thanks bb

just a thought I would call CVA and just describe the issue and ask for their opinion, (nothing) has to be mention or known to them about the 45 cal conversion, they will throw up red flags and not help I am sure, I have called before and they helped, 770-449-4687

I just got a new scout 44 mag yesterday. Its a bit sticky when opening but I am sure it will break in and smooth out with time. I have called CVA for all sorts of info in the past and they have been more than helpful...good folks!!!

I have two CVA break actions, a Scout conversion and an Optima. Both do this, especially after sitting closed for a while. The contact area is subject to wear and essentially corrosion and oxidation. Before use I work this area by not breaking it open but just pulling that guard lever back and forth a bunch of times. I started soaking this area in CLP and letting it absorb. It has seemed to help A LOT this season in doing so.

Did you get the hard pull on the trigger guard fixed? I just bought a Scout V2 and has the same issue.
