Does anyone have any experience with the add on night vision optics? Looking for one to add in front of my scope for some night predator hunting. Typically we shoot less than 100 yards at night, but the further the better. Looking for something that will not blow the budget so I would say $500 or less. I have seen some 4-5 power night vision scopes, but figured the the add on would be a better option.
thanks Ronnie

I shoot a lot of clip-ons but have never used a $500 version. The first clip on I used had a Gen3 image intensifier and worked best at about 6x but you could make it work at 10x. The ones I use now also uses a Gen 3 tube and seems to work best at about 6-8x but will also work on 10x if conditions are good. Are you looking at something that attaches to your optic or is rail mounted?

Do yourself a favor ...Research the VRL 1 light. I have one of these and wouldnt hesitate to shoot 100 to 150 yda at night. They are really effective...and not temperature sensitive like some. Trust me....these babies light up the night Drop

Keith, I would think rail mounted would be easier to take on and off.
Drop, I will check it out.
thanks for the information
