I live 30 minutes north of Columbus, Ohio. For the last 6 days I’ve had repair my sod in my yard. Does anybody have an ideal what could be doing the damage? i.imgur.com/FlDsb9E.jpg

I’ve never seen a pig in Ohio but I’ve read that southeast Ohio has pigs. I don’t believe they made it north yet.

I don’t know what you have that far north but around here I would say armadillo or hog but hogs usually tear the dirt up a lot more

So far I’ve put down 80 pounds of Grub-X to remove the food source it’s looking for. Also I’ve put out 3 bags of mothballs but that didn’t even slow them down, they just rolled the sod on top of the mothballs. I have all my trial cameras in the woods already but I may have to buy another one after work tonight.

It happened again last night, more sod damage. I did find some half eaten worms were the sod was.

Could be skunks or raccoons. Over the last 3 years I’ve trapped over 60 raccoons on my property and never seen sod damage before. In the last 15 years of owning the property I’ve only seen one sunk. Maybe I have a den of skunks that’s moved into my woods?

I have found that skunks usually only dig small holes looking for skunks!
