Considering the current situation with ammo, re-loading components and availability of manufactured arms were you ready? Recent trip to LGS - Greentop Sporting Goods, Bass pro and Cabelas. Pistol ammo not available, rifle ammo in anything useable not available, pistol components for loading not available, rifle components scarce and about to disappear, rinfire down to last bricks of a few brands. Cabelas and Bass Pro had 0 of most items, Greentop the few things available. I have been prepared for this and the only thing I'm short on is 6.5 bullets, only have 4C. 30 cal plenty, 224 cal plenty, buckshot could use a couple boxes, rimfire plenty - 22LR -22 mag - 17 HMR good supply laid by, 3 bricks 209, and plenty powder for holy black and SML, and I have bullet molds for all my ML and 3K of lead. Will continue to look for and get items that I'm feeling short on.
Remember only 2 kinds of ammo:
1. enough
2. not enough
Getting into section 2 is indication of a probable bad outcome of situation.
Stay safe, shoot straight, make every shot count! 10ga

Still a few supplies around in NW Ind. Stay out of those same big box stores and shop some of the smaller gun shops and you can do ok.
My whole gang has really slowed down shooting. Maybe low components, but mostly busy lives and families. It will pick up when the weather cools.
My close buddies and I are all stocked up. I was low last time in 2008 on many things, but that has been corrected now.
Wife was asking why do you keep buying a brick of 22 everytime we go somewhere? After 30 some bricks later, she finally stopped asking. Lol.
I would definately keep in tune with supplies and shoot accordingly.

Many of us got educated about having shooting supplies in stock during the Obummer-scare years. It became a nightmare just to find .22RF ammo.
Personally, I will now not live long enough to deplete my current supplies.

X2 for 10 ga. unless the grandkids zoom thru the current supply, OH yeah! I hope so! I have enough for the next 5 trapping seasons head tapping yotes, coons, possums, skunks, fox, otter etc... and some groundhog shooting. Oh yeah, otter land not so hard, just need TOUGH traps. Plus in survival mode 3/32 cable and 22rf produce lots of venison or canine meat. If it doesn't eat me.....
Like dealing with vegan and frugians, you just aint been hungry enuff. gets down to it I'll eat ...whatever is fresh.
