I am new here and new to the smokeless muzzleloader game . Was wondering if anyone has shot the hammer bullets. If so what is your opinion of them. Or should I stick with the obvious Pittman areomax rounds

Unless you anneal and then full form them, they will not shoot. Muzzleloader bullets have to be able to expand so as to seal the bore and build pressure. Pittman's will do that based on their cup and core design.

shot them for 2 years in my .40, the ones Kyle had them make. they work very well on game BUT they are not a target bullet. You can also full form them without annealing, they are a pretty soft copper.
the nose splits in half below the ojive upon entering an animal and you have 3 wound channels, normally the base exits, the 2 nose pieces exit about half the time, have found several under the hide on the far side, they are a very lethal bullet but like I said they are not match bullets and must be full formed, at least the .408 have to be, not sure if Kyle sells a land rider?
