An update for the SPRING CHALLENGE scheduled for April 18th, 19th and 20th. PLEASE READ.
I am sure everyone knows that this nation (world) is in a Pandemic.
We have nation-wide travel restrictions in place and some states have ordered you to not leave your home unless absolutely necessary.
Unless things change and get better before this scheduled spring shoot, I will have to cancel this event. As of right now we are planning on having the shoot, but I just want everyone that is planning on coming to the shoot to know, there is a possibility that we will have to cancel it. This will be a last-minute decision and will be posted here if we must cancel.
I want to wish everyone good health and I hope each and every one of us gets through this national disaster.

Thanks Jeff! Provided the Evergreen motel is open, I would still be up for coming. I understand that, and let’s hope this pandemic is under control by then, if at all possible, we will have the shoot. If things continue to go south, then we will have to cancel or at least postpone it. I have been watching as much news as I can about this virus and many places are restricted to no travel and gatherings of 10 or more people are not allowed. So we will just have to see what happens and make a decision when the time comes. My wife Mindy,, just got home from the grocery store and she said they had no meat, people were standing in line to buy food…. I don’t want to sound negative but I really think this virus is going to be a major set back for this country….. business are going to suffer, many will go out of business. I know numerous people that are not working, have not worked for a week now and don’t have any money saved for rough times…

I will admit I thought it was going to be like another pandemic that I have seen in my life. It wont happen here....still don't know the full effects, but at least they are trying to do things to slow it. I would hate to be in the government leaders shoes right now. Here in Illinois we are "shelter in place". I do work for an Ag seed supplier so my work is deemed "essential". I dont like the the thought of bringing anything home to my family, but if it gets bad enough the family will win everytine. Supplies for food aren't bad. TP, disinfectant wipes, and hand sanitizer are hard to find. Some may say we are over reacting. I would rather error on the side of caution than tempt fate.

Thanks for the update. I'd hate to see it cancelled but at the same time it would be selfish of me to not think of the others. It is a strange pandemic going on and we don't need everyone down there Kong Flu Fighting. I hope everyone is doing great and I guess if nothing else we'll meet up in August

As my member name "NYHUNTER" suggest I'm located in New York State (NYS) and New York City (NYC) in particular. NYS and NYC in fact has unfortunately been inundated by the rapid spread of the COVID-19 virus. All of NYS is in a "PAUSE STATUS" which essentially means all non-essential businesses statewide will be closed and anyone not deemed as an "Essential Worker" must stay home. All social type gathering places have been order shut; such as to name a few:
* Malls, Theaters / Broadway, Sporting Events, Restaurants & Bars (takeout / delivery only), Coffee Shops, Gyms, ETC..
Non-essential gatherings of individuals of any size for any reason (e.g. parties, celebrations or other social events) are canceled or postponed at this time.
We are permitted to leave our homes for certain reasons such as:
* Doctors Office, Pharmacies, Supermarkets, Grocery Stores, Banking, Gas Station, Laundromats & Dry Cleaners, Mailing or Shipping, Hardware Stores.
* Individuals should limit outdoor recreational activities to non-contact and avoid activities where they come in close contact with other people.
* Any concentration of individuals outside their home must be limited to workers providing essential services and social distancing should be practiced.
* When in public individuals must practice social distancing of at least six feet from others.
Thank God as of this posting my family and loved ones have not contracted the virus, we are healthy and were doing our best to stay that way.
My hopes and prayers go out to all those affected by this virus and that you and your loved ones stay safe and healthy throughout these unprecedented hard times we all face together.
My God Bless You, Your Family's, America and the entire World.
Stay Well And Safe !!!

That's a bit concerning when you look at the steep angle of the U.S.

IMO, I would like to see the date change to May before the Spring Challenge is canceled all together. If travel restrictions are still in place at that time then I would cancel the event.

Yes when you test 280,000 people in 8 days you get sharp angles. Chill once Demorats figure out how to get there pork the hysteria will dye down. As for NYC/NYS when you put limits on ICU rooms any given hospital can have or how many beds and not allow expansion then shortages are your faults. NYHunter my thoughts and words to man upstairs are still being said stay safe

Here in Missouri things are like many other states but the main emphasis is on social distances as it should be but I must say I am a little angry about the definition of essential workers . I have spent all of my adult life as a carpenter working in the construction industry including inside shop, remodeling, new homes , commercial concrete and highrise buildings so I know of the financial set backs of not being able to work . At this time construction work is an “ essential “ in Missouri so construction workers are still being directed by contractors to go into occupied homes to work around other families and to work on new buildings that do not need to be occupied immediately 😡 do they mean essential or expendable. To me this is the opposite of social distancing. I’m personally seeing people that are still working getting excited about not having to pay there bills and getting “free” money . True colors are showing with people and politicians alike it makes me sick I will get off of my soapbox now sorry for the ranting everyone be as safe as you can God Bless

Caseless Just wait they will find out they are not going to be paid twice. We where deemed essential who know Toilet Paper was essential? Got a very good briefing on this bill and where we fall on the payouts not much like 2 to 3 hundred dollars. Because they wouldn’t make the payroll taxes go away for a few weeks. So all taxpayers need to have a good feeling about it or resentment sets in. We/us being exposed while people are not.

Also Crazy here in Colorado, all of our Crews have to have the Company Letter in their Vehicle Stating they are "Essential" or Face a $999 Fine!
Sanitize & Keep your Distance People!
