I switched from the regular 45 caliber 300 gr Aeromax to the 303 hardcores this yr prior to mzl season. WOW! Was I impressed? I’m pushing these in excess of 3200 fps and I can’t say enough about the performance I witnessed. I shot deer from 80yds to 260 yds with massive exit holes. Also, the hardcores shot identical to the regulars out to 600 yds. (Which is as far as i tested them) For u guys that are meat hunters and don’t like a lot of tissue damage, better stay away from this bullet. Just curious if u guys had the same experience? Thanks Kyle. U hit it out of the park with this one.

I have directed several guys toward this bullet this past hunting season and the results have been great from the feed back I have seen, they are very accurate and get the job done on target, I have seen similar results from the 303 .40 cal Hardcore. The 278 Hardcore in the .45 does a good job as well.

I have been wondering if my slow powder 45 break action load would get obturation with hard cores without wads.

I switched to the 303 HC this year as well. Only had 1 chance to see the terminal effects. It was a 150ish yard shot on an 8ptr. Pass through with a nice exit hole maybe tennis ball size - slight quarter with a lung/liver placement. Sent Kyle a pic as I don’t have/won’t access to a host for posting otherwise I’d share with all. Load is 63 grains of H4198. I don’t know the muzzle velocity, but it’s no hotrod.
Very pleased with the performance in a single event. I liked the performance with the standard AeroMax but had massive terminal effects that for my hunting desires was a bit overkill. I realize that the energy that our SML produce is already overkill too so the harder alloy in the HC just makes since to me.
As far as orbutration, I saw no change from the standard AeroMax. If I recall from the July 4th sale conversation with Kyle the jacket is the same on both bullets.
