Are the ticks this bad everywhere? Bow season starts in New York Oct.1st, between then and now I've been to the doc's twice for pills and removal. Pretty bad when ya got to get down to your skivvy's and give your self a once over before ya walk in the house! TICK CITY!

I hunt in Tioga County NY. Worse year ever for ticks. It was 30 degrees this past Sunday morning and still had a few crawling up my leg. Lyme's is a bitch!

I'm in Tompkins county I also hunt in Cortland and Cayuga counties. Tompkins seems to be worst so far but hopefully these cooler temps will help. Lint rollers seem to be the tool of choice for hunting gear, looks like chocolate chip ice cream when you're done!

No ticks, no flies, no mosquitoes. Frost killed 'em off.

Didn’t know what a tick-toter was until this year. Had the opportunity on a quota hunt near Chattanooga in September. The taxidermist froze the head over a week before he would skin the head. That thing was covered. Glad I don’t have to deal with them or mosquitoes much. Side note....swarming mosquitoes can replace water-boarding as an advanced interrogation technique.

Bear hunting in Minnesota first of September even with big suit on the can’t bite you but it dose about drive you nuts.
