Does anyone have a suggestion for a new trail camera that will send live pictures to a cell phone. I’m running 4 SPYPOINT’s and not impressed. A couple suggestions External battery and solar panels NICE Make sure you have good cell signal at location I like a free standing stake so I can put camera where I want it not find a tree that hopefully works.

I run cuddieback camera. Like Joel said make sure you have a signal. There system works by linking cameras. I found that if I put the master in the area of reception I don’t run into problems. Oh yea I’am on Verizon

Joel can you elaborate on not impressed with the Spypoint? This is the brand I have been considering.

First my brother bought 2 built in solar units in March. Only 1 will take a picture. He talked with customer service do this do that no avail $500 dollar camera don’t work. Not sure why he hasn’t sent it back. These cameras need to be facing south for solar arrays to work “Stupid in my opinion” rising and setting sun glare. I am not fond of their app. The one that dose work I get these all black images at least once a week. What did I miss in that picture? Second pair he buys has a “light saber” issue. This light saber will show up take a bunch of pictures for no reason. These are the first trail cameras I have used with cellular technology. I stated when you could only get 35mm. Man was 35mm an expensive way to learn. I have used many and never had issues with any. Some are more user friendly than others but all so far are OK. Maybe I was lucky in the past. 3 of 4 SPYPOINT cameras I am having issues with. I personally am not going to spend my money on a SPYPOINT. Maybe it’s bad luck but it all started with Spypoint. I don’t like trashing somebody who can’t defend themselves but I am not going to recommend something I don’t believe in either.

Joel lite saber is setting sun or rising sun with a object close enough to trigger the motion sensor try raising the camera and putting a block behind top to angle it down it will eliminate that picture of the saber. You can do the same with south facing cameras it will eliminate most glare

I’ve been running Coverts for a couple yrs now. I use both Verizon and ATT cameras depending on the area. I put each camera on a solar panel and they keep my batteries charged as long as the cams aren’t on feeders or flapping vegetation. I still run into places where there’s just not enough service for the camera. Definitely not the cheapest cameras out there but they’ve done ok for me from 500-700 miles away. Hope this helps u out.

Tedb I have never had the light saber effect trigger the camera before. I am really stuck with where the camera is located. The tree it is on is so crooked I only have a small area to mount and with that there is a branch being used for aiming.

Look out in front but hanging low for a branch or a seed head on grass it’s common. If nothing clean lenses. Had a camera that had a mark on the lense and when things lined up just right I had a saber

Normally the saber isn’t much of an issue because it shows now and then when an animal triggers the camera. This seems to trigger the camera. Next time I go in to hunt this location I’m going to try to adjust an clean lens. That might not happen for a month though.

Oh yea I’am on Verizon how far apart are you able to run your paired Cuddy Back cameras? I have a coupe locations I’d like to run multiple cameras.

Yes but the farther there apart the less obstruction in the way farther I can stretch them. The farm I have them on the north side is all edge and south side is all woods so north side sends to mother camera on edge of south side all the ones in the woods on the south send to same camera that camera sends to my phone
