Not sure if this is the right place for this but it is just a question. Has anyone tried these bullets and if so how did they perform?

I have 220gr and 260gr Speer HP. Mine don't say mag tho. Is the jacket stopped short of the tip or point, so the lead is exposed? If so, they grenade on deer. About half the strength of an xtp. I have seen them come apart with 777 in an inline mz. Still kills, but less than ideal.

My thought was if they are tough enough the extra 10gr weight over the 250gr would help with obturation. They are cheap to buy and was just inquiring. I know a 240xtp mag is tough enough. I'm not wanting to push them over 2600ish. I surely don't want a grenading bullet to hunt with. I am just looking for other options than what I am already using, which work very well. I guess I shouldn't try to fix what isn't broke. Tinkeritis.
