Just received my Apex 45 conversion from Jeff---Could use some help on proper sized socket to remove plug and where purchased. It is possible that I have the riight size but walls of socket are too thick. Thanks in advance

It is possible that the walls of your socket is too thick. I use an 11mm wrench and extension for my 700ml from my craftsmans ratchet set. You will need a thin wall socket.

7/16 socket , 1/4 inch drive, craftsman should work.

I am able to use both 7/16 and 11mm thin wall 1/4 drive.

I have made up separate dedicated socket tools for plug removal for each gun. I keep them in the hard cases with the gun or in the "kit box" dedicated for each. 10

I need to separate mine too. I used to but now its all getting mixed up. I'll get to that soon., my wife is having health issues again and that is what is the most important . Everything else is going to have to wait.

Definitely 1/4" drive. The socket outside diameter must measure less than .695"
