Here is a sneak peek of the AccuMax.402" 275 grain test Bullets. If all goes as planned, Bill and Jerry will give these a try this weekend.

Would these be more likely to shoot with a sabot than the 225's?

Less likely.

I doubt you will rarely if ever, see a saboted bullet shoot as good as a smooth or full formed bullet. The sabot has always been the weak link in smoke less muzzleloading.

I don't believe these will fare well with sabots in the 275 grain variety, however I could be wrong. The 225 grain sabot testing went well. I may test the 250's and 275's down the road with sabots to see.

the 250s MIGHT work in a sabot but I wouldn't bet on it but someone will try soon I'm sure..

If I were to try these saboted I'd use 3031 powder and knurl the bullets. Getting the bullets to spin with the sabot is what I'd try to accomplish with knurling the bullet.
Pretty neat bullet wish Nebraska would allow 40 Cal

the 250s MIGHT work in a sabot but I wouldn't bet on it but someone will try soon I'm sure.. Its possible. The PR DeadCenter 260gr will shoot at smoker speeds in a 1-20 but its also shorter than this 250gr and probably softer. Ive also shot 40cal hardcast 260gr bullets in twists as slow as 1-28. I never got the accuracy i wanted but they didnt keyhole. Assuming the sabot can handle a 250gr at "warp" speed, in theory it could shoot. I would be more interested to see how slow it can go and still be stable.
