I haven't shot my 250 Accumaxs yet cuz I just got a sizer. I have shot 250 be's with 58 grains imr 4198 and they grouped great with very little recoil. I think we can go up to 70 and still be safe with the 250's. I've got a CVA Hunter with HIS. If your referring to 70 grains on IMR 4198 out of a break open gun that is quite high. The barrel diameter on break open guns are typically smaller then the common bolt action Remington 700 / Brux #17 build. Most are shooting between 55-60 grains of IMR 4198 out of break open guns with a 275 grain bullet. Not sure of the maximum charge with the 250 grain bullet, however you may what to get advise from other members on the board before you shoot 70 grains of IMR 4198 out of a break open gun. Better to be SAFE THEN SORRY !!!Sorry if misspoke suggesting the imr4198 70/250 grain load for a break action. Some data from the board indicated that the pressure was in the low 40's similar to the imr4198 60/275 grain data. Better safe than sorry for sure. Jimmy.
