45 Caliber Brux Barrels 1-20 twist. Cut and crowned at your desired length, a muzzle brake can be added at time of purchase if you want one.
Remington 700 Pre-Fit barrels are in stock and ready to ship. These barrels are threaded to fit the Remington 700 short or long action, they will also fit the Model 7, XR100 and any version of the 700 action using 1.062-16 TPI.
Installation is simple, all you need is the necessary tools to remove your barrel and simply screw on the new 45 caliber pre-fit muzzle loader barrel, set the head space and you are ready to start shooting your smokeless muzzle loader.
These barrels come complete with the barrel nut and either the HIS system or the DIS system installed. Contact me at the shop if you would like to get one of these ordered.
Thanks Jeff.

For someone wanting to get their feet wet in smokeless muzzleloading without breaking the bank, this is a very good option. I see the Remington 700 ADL Varmint frequently in sales papers in the neighborhood of $400.00 after rebates. This would be a great donor gun for the conversion. Probably very little stock work needed to drop the new barreled action into. Should be minute of deer easy to 400 yards with decent optics and mounts.

Pardon my ignorance, does it matter what caliber the donor action and bolt are??

Id go with something in a non magnum bolt face like a .22-250, .243, .308 in a short action or .270, .280, .30-06 in a long action.

I got the .308 thinking that it would be easier to sell the barrel after the swap. We'll see.

I like this.....but what Rem stock is available that will properly fit that barrel nut? None that I know of,,, but it will not take much work to inlet for the nut. Depending on your skill level and tools one might have.. you could use anything from a dremel tool to just a carving knife. Just depends on the person doing the work.

If someone wants one... sure I will do them.. I'm certainly interested in a 40 cal pre-fit. It'll be a slightly better option for my kid's to hunt with than my 13 pound Brux/700. Have a few years to get it built for the kiddo's though, so no big hurry. My daughter just turned two and my son was born less than 12 hours ago. 😉 Would definitely like a nice shooting 40 cal SML for them to take deer with someday.
