Each bullet is different. A setting for Bullet-A will probably not be the best setting for Bullet-B. Differences in diameter, jacket thickness, jacket hardness, core material, etc will change how much sizing it needs to fit your bore. I also would not size a bunch of bullets as they can spring back the longer they sit around. Not always but I have found it depends on the bullet. Create a spreadsheet for each bullet make and weight that you shoot and log the die setting for future use.

If using several different bullets the die may not size the same. Meaning, if you find that setting up two passes at 10 and 14 work well for a 300 BO then you size up some FTX bullets at 12 and 18. When you go back to the BO bullet you need to check the size, 10/14 might not fit. I have even noticed bullets change from box to box.

right on, does it matter how tight the bullet fits down the barrel? would a tight fit be better than loose?

first off what die do you have? some barrels like loose ,some tight, you will have to see what it likes.
let us know what you are using, barrel maker, twist, bore dia, bullets, die etc. I have done a lot of full forming and the methods vary slightly with all the variables but let us know the details and we can be of more help.

right now we have .452 greenmountain barrels, shooting full formed 225 and 250 ftx. 18" twist i believe. getting reasonable groups but would like to tighten them up. i know everyone recommends pitman or a bullet like that but cant get them here. H4198 at 2500 fps
