What is the difference between the Aeromax and the AccuMax bullets. If the Accumax is a long range target and hunting bullet. What is the advantage/disadvantage of going with the Aeromax?

the Aero has a much longer nose with a longer aluminum tip, ( higher BC) less drop at distance

The AccuMax was the first offering of Pittman Bullets. It has been proven as a long range hunting and target bullet. The Aeromax was designed to deliver higher Ballistic Coefficients. For example an AccuMax .452" 325gr has a BC of .350 . An Aeromax.452" 325gr has a BC of .410 . The Aeromax series is longer than The AccuMax of the same grain weight. To achieve the maximum BC for any Bullet, adequate barrel twist must be used.

Here is a good comparison . Both bullets traveling at 2700 fps with a 10 mile cross wind .
Accumax 325 will drop 35.4 inches at 400 yards and drift 17 .4 inches
Aeromax 325 will drop 33.4inches at 400 yards and drift 14.4 inches

Thanks for the answers guys. I understand it was the higher BCs, I just wanted clarification whether the Aeromax was a target bullet ,a hunting bullet or both. I should've put more detail into my question.

I should've put more detail into my question. The AccuMax and Aeromax are both long range hunting and target bullets. Both bullets have .021" thick jackets. Several whitetail were taken last season with the Aeromax 325's.
