What is going to be my best bet for a ramrod for CVA hunter 45-70 conversion gun for hunting? Thanks in advanced.

I've got the 3 piece with the bungee in the middle. Works great.

I carry a collapsible rod with all my guns, that's just the way I roll but opinions differ, some like their rod on their gun. Jeff sells them, you can PM him for details.

Personally I prefer the 3 piece ramrods over one connected to the gun. I have both screw together and a shock corded one.

If your gun doesn't have a ramrod, the collapsible one that Jeff sells is a must. I also carry a Knight screw together ramrod in my buttstock pouch as a backup in case I forget my collapsible at the truck or worse yet, at home. I once used a cane pole on my MLII when I lost my ramrod in the woods. Luckily there were some cane growing on a creek bank.

X2 = Dittos for me. I have 3 different ones, 2 are the shock corded type and 1 screw together. For different caliber like 45 and 50 spinjags and different barrel lengths. No rods hanging on the guns anymore. 10
ps: be sure to mark your ramrods to indicate loaded or not!!!
