OK
the slide hammer/ depth stop is used for setting the drill depth, properly set there is no way you will drill through a bullet. you are only drilling the depth of the puller screw anyway..
the powder is dumped and oil is put in the barrel and let soak overnite so the charge between the bullets is wet as well, pretty safe I would think??

keep in mind also all drilling is done very slowly by hand, I wanted to keep it as simple and compact as possible.
I have already come up with some tweaks to do away with setting the depth stop and having only one rod without screw on tips.

Great idea with well thought out safety procedure!
Hope I never need such a tool. So far, my worst DA experience was forgetting the powder...TWICE! Once in an Encore, and once in the 10MLII. Sure is a sinking feeling when one hears and feels a KLUNK and the witness mark has completely disappeared!!

You're not the only one!

I would like to see something like this for cleaning. It could be made of a tough plastic or soft metal. It would look like a tube that screws into the breach plug threads (or oring)and keeps fouling/solvent/patches/ect out of the action and threads during cleaning. Kinda like what Sinclair or ProShot sell for centerfire.
