Went to the range today to sight in a gun for my daughter to use and took my Hankins Smokeless Muzzleloader along as well. No other words for it, conditions stunk!!! 20mph gusts blowing from right to left, but I did enjoy the cooler weather. I shot the lower group first with 73gr IMR4198 and a 327 MH with no wad. Dialed the scope up and shot the top group, same load but with a wad. Taking into account the windy weather I thought it was pretty good. This load shot 1 MOA lower at 100 yards compared to my usual load of 78gr IMR 4198 and a 275 BE. At 200 yards this load shot 1.25 MOA lower compared to my usual load of 78gr IMR 4198 and a 275 BE. GOOD LUCK DEER HUNTING EVERYONE!!!!! BE SAFE OUT THERE!!!!

the 327s are one bad dude, and with groups like that not a buck around your spot will be safe..

Looks good Kyle., now all you need is a good buck to step out in front of you, or a couple hundred yards away., he's still dead....

Shot my first and only antelope with the 325 MH practiced all summer at longer ranges and was good to 400 yards. I just couldn't figure out the wind very well. I ended up shooting the antelope at 51 yards crazy hole going in. I was surprised it didn't lift the goat up of the ground and throw him backwards. He ran about 30 yards feel over.
That's some good shooting in windy conditions. The match hunters are a great bullet!
Good luck this season!

Saw 1 doe in the morning and 7 doe in the afternoon. Haven't been since opening day. Headed back out this afternoon and Sat & Sun. Temps not looking good with highs of 88, 90 & 93.
Has the TN bow season started?

Tennessee archery opens 4th Saturday in September every year. I probably won't start hunting til mid October.
