Well part of my honey do list was to knock down a support wall and put a support beam up. Finally finished it today. Need to toe nail truss into beam tomorrow and finish connecting the vent pipe back together and it's finished.

Looks like your staying pretty busy eh, Chad? Yup, got to reconnect a vent pipe, some electrical, and start getting a subfloor down. Once all the floor is down I'll be putting the luxury vinyl wood plank for through out the whole upstairs and new trim through the whole upstairs. Once all that's done I will have time to start hitting the range!! Hopefully I'll get this all done in a month or so.

looks good. you are a pretty long honey do list. I am sure that removing part of that wall made a big difference on how that room looks
I think that anyone that owns a house will always have a honey do list. It seems like we are doing something to our house every weekend. We just put a bathroom in our garage, and I can finally see the project coming to an end.

I support the wall. Is that a micro-lam? They are the balls for a long span.

It's 2 laminate 1 3/4"x14"x14'long samiched together and I screwed the two boards together and toe nailed the truss into the laminate. It made a huge difference! Neighbor has a house that is laid out almost exactly like ours and now that the wall is gone in our house it feels bigger even though it isn't! Hopefully I'll finish laying out the subfloor this week and get the flooring in over weekend. Then get drywall up and start painting.

Remodeling jobs are alway fun to start but by the time they are done, you're glad they are done.. I'm in the middle of one myself.

We were at a neighbor's house last night and got some more ideas on our house. Once I have the drywall, floor, trim, and kitchen done I'm moving on to lighting in the kitchen. Need to put new deck wood on deck. Lots of ideas and I'd like to get it done as soon as possible so I can focus on hunting. Bought this house as a repo, had to completely gut the basement because of black mold. Put carpet down but after pulling the nasty carpet from upstairs I am not sure I'll do carpet again.
