What a terrible shooting. Unbelievable, and the FBI knew about him. I guess we should be ready for some more executive actions in the next few days/weeks.

Sice he was "looked at" and then disregarded....someone in the fni should be looked at also. For instance if you threaten to shoot something up rather than "look at you" they look up your arse and anyone associated with you. He was a known ISIS sympathizer.....and they left him at will. Who is responsible for these actions? Yes he is ultimately. But who let him walk....didnt even bring him for questioning. Drop

It's a sad day when any human being gets murdered or maimed just as these victims have been. You better believe that ole'bame will capitalize on this tragedy to push his anti gun agenda. What he doesn't get done the Hildebeast will if she gets in. Get out and vote in this election!!

You can be assured of some type of Executive order, Bama is a well known gay trans gen supporter, ever wonder why? look into his past in Chicago. O well, that's another conversation.
Any time lives are lost it's a tragety, especially American lives. It's a mess in our Homeland and I don't see an end to it, especially if the Hildabeast gets elected, it will turn sour really really fast..

May sound cold-hearted but, including the terrorist who was a registered damocrat, Hillary has 50 fewer votes in Florida. She must have mixed feelings today since being loyal to both muslimes and LGBT. Waiting to see Trump's ratings climb this week. Now, if he can just keep his foot-in-mouth disease under control. Remember George's words when it comes to gun control:

Riverrat you nailed it. I told my wife earlier the issue is people don't value other people's lives at all. People will kill others for the least little things. I was very fortunate to grow up with both my parents. I believe a strong loving family at home grows strong loving adults.

With all the non-stop coverage of this attack there have been countless arguments made regarding how to prevent this type of $hit from going down and what to do if it does go down. Run, hide, play dead, throw things at the guy, etc etc. I have not heard one argument, from either side, regarding armed citizens and their possible roles.
There are so many of us that have concealed carry permits and pack all the time. I do...all the time with a few exceptions: 1) at work 2) in a school or Gov't building
This kinda sucks because the crazies like the work place, schools and gov't building...GUN FREE ZONES. However, getting caught in these places would almost certainly mean a revocation of the privlidge to own a handgun and get you in trouble and prevent me from all the other carrying I do now.
If I go to town to the store, take a ride or if I am working in the yard, I am carrying and it's almost 2nd nature. I live in a very rural area where the towns are small and the biggest news on crime are a domestic violence, DWI or maybe an occasional shop lifter or cashing a bad check. It's easy around here to carry. Maybe in the big cities it's not?
Also, the younger generation, in general, is fairly anti gun or just plain do not even think about it.
All I know that if the SHTF while I am at Walmart I will not have to cower in the cereal isle and wait to die. I think we all have a responsibility to protect ourselves, our friend and families. I believe that being an armed citizen is comforting. It also is a huge responsibility that you can't take lightly.
Who here carries a lot? What do you carry, how often and how often do you shoot your carry gun?
I carry a Ruger SR9 inaside the waist with 115 Corbon HP's. I probably shoot this gun 500 rds a year. Not a ton. When it's not on me, it's always very close by.
Tough times and it's only going to get much worse before it gets better. There will be more of this and also more attempts to infringe on my rights and yours. If Hildabest gets in there we are going to see some extremely scary things. She really is a demon.
Alright done with my rant. Have had a fever the past 3 days and can't sleep.

I stand behind you in line at the store with a smile on my face, and a gun under my shirt, and you are none the wiser. Yet you are safer for having me next to you. I won't shoot you. My gun won't pull it's own trigger. It is securely holstered with the trigger covered. It can't just go off. However, rest assured that if a lunatic walks into the grocery store and pulls out a rifle, I will draw my pistol and protect myself and my family, and therefore protect you and your family. I may get shot before I can pull the trigger...but, I won't die in a helpless blubbering heap on the floor begging for my life. No, if I die it will be in a pile of spent shell casings. I won't be that victim. I choose not to be. As for you, I don't ask you to carry a gun. If you are not comfortable, then please don't. But I would prefer you not try and take away my right to not be a helpless victim. There is evil in the world and if evil has a gun, I want one too...
Copy and paste if you believe this too....

I totally agree, I would bet the liberals would feel safer knowing that several of us rednecks were in the crowd concealed if a nut appears wanting to do harm..

Thanks fella's. But just to quantify, this isn't my writing (although I wish it were and I agree with it 100 percent). It came across my FB page and I liked it so I copied and pasted it here.

Makes me sick that you only hear about innocent people that get shot and how we need more gun control yet you never hear about how a law abiding American citizen defends himself or other innocent people everyday with a firearm

Having been a cop for 28 years in NJ, I am used to carrying every day. When I retired I was able to get a carry permit in NJ and became an NRA pistol instructor so I could do the retired officers bi-yearly qualifications. After moving to NC I also obtained their concealed permit. Then around 2005 a Federal bil HR-218 was passed which allowed retired LEO's to carry anywhere in the USA regardless of reciprocity laws. To obtain this license, I had to take a short classroom refresher and then qualify every year shooting the same course as the state and local police shoot and score a minimum of 80. This past qualification in March I used both my Sig P-239 9mm and my new Kimber micro carry .380 and shot perfect scores with both. Two targets each one on a daytime ppc course and one at nighttime with flashing blue lights and headlights. And yes, I carry ALL the time. When working around the property (semi-rural) I always have my little North American Arms four shot .22 mag in an Uncle Mikes knife holster. When going out, I generally only carry my Kimber in a Sneaky Pete leather (cell phone) holster. A very nice rig especially in the summer when trying to hide a gun is a problem. With the types of loads available today the .380 is a formidable weapon. Not what I would take to a pre-determined gun fight, but never the less a decent piece! If a gun is too big or too heavy, it tends to be left at home when concealment is a problem. Just my thoughts.

Richard, with your CC permits, are you allowed to carry in one of those crazy "gun free zones"??
