Hi Guys Each day has been better than the day before. Today being the best so far. Getting some appetite back. Though not much. Mother has been wonderful to me. And I know I have been a grump. Showered again today and it felt great. Its getting easier to get in and out of the bed...chair...and shower. Staying on top of the.pain meds...and PRUNES and juice. . Progression was kind of slow the first couple days. But today was better. The girls SweetPea and Suzie (our beagles) dont understand why they cant get on my lap...I miss it to. Wont be long and I will be out in the garage sizing some bullets. Mother noted today the amount of my friends calling from out of state to check up on me. I think it gave her a different outlook on the Challenge. She didnt have a bad one to begin with. But I dont think she realized the brotherhood in the group Take care guys. I will try to keep you posted Russell

Just got off the phone with Russ, again he's feeling a little rough, which is understandable given his situation. He told to me give him a call in a cpl days so I'll pass along any new info if he doesn't before.
We wish you well drop, get better soon.
Steve

PROGRESS REPORT Well yesterday my wife had to drive an hour each way to pick up a script for me. I was just going to stay here with the dogs and lay in the chair. And watxh the tube. Then i rationalized that that isnt doing me any good . So I got up and mother helped me shower before she left. And I told her I as going with. We got ready and left. It was miserable for the first half way there...then tylenol started working...so wasnt so bad. Went to the office and got the script and then to walkyworld to fill it. Took one and dexided to go to culvers and walk in for a sandwich. From there everythng just got better. Had lunch and an ice cream. Went tk a couple stores...sat in the car while mother shopped.Sunshine and beautiful. Then went to sams and rode the buggy around and shopped awhile. Then headed home. Best day since surgery 10 days ago.I actually feel like the last 10 days were a blur...got to be something like waking up from a coma....great upturn in outlook. Still sore and stiff...but getting around so much better. I even dart from furniture to furniture some with out the walker...kinda like a 2 year old learning to walk again. Thanks to all who call and pm and post. It is WONDERFUL to have friends who care I will continue to keep you posted Russell

Wow Russ, YOU did more stuff than I did yesterday ... LOL!
Glad to hear you are progressing so quickly, at the rate you're going you'll be back at it in no time. Just be careful not to do TOO much too soon.

Well tomorrow marks 3 weeks with my new hip. God has blessed me. The pain is very manageable now. Maybe a xouple pain pills a day. But not always. I start physical therapy ths week. Hope to get off this walker and on a cane. Still have to ride the buggy when I go to the store. I tire easily. But I am sleping food now. Boredom is sitting in . Tinkered in the farage a little in Friday.....thats how I figures out I tire pretty quickly. My lively wife Susan has really pampered me through this hole ordeal. (Actually for about 40 years). So ...Life is good...and I continue to recover nicely. I will.kep you all posted Russell
