Thanks for the kind words. I am not against taking the blame for an errant/flyer shot.........but, on most occasions I know in my heart I did nothing wrong to move that bullet out of the group?.........I saw no wind condition that could have done it, the trigger broke with the cross hairs right on the POA and had to conclude that it was in fact, the integrity of the bullet or its relation to the bore (too tight or too loose?) The above thoughts have always been bouncing around my head and just figured I would put them down for others to ponder. Maybe you have scratched your head a few times and felt the same thing when you lose a shot from the group for and unknown reason.

Kyle...........I have measured the Clays and RD flake powders and the pieces are over .040". I have shot .040 bushings and have also had vent open to .045" and never felt I had a problem. 4759 are really big chunks as are 5744. N-110 has been used for years as a booster with no ill effects so I don't think you should have a problem with any of them. What I would be interested in hearing from those shooting straight doses of 4198 and what their ES's are like? It may just be my ignition system does not like trying to light up a single powder load? I got my .035" bushing from Hank today and will have it installed for Tuesdays shooting.

Off track here, I have been loading my gun primed with the safety on. I have shot it over 100 times in the last month that way. Am I doing something wrong. A safety may fail. For myself, that is a chance I'm not willing to take.

It will only take once for your gun to go off and you will lose your hand and maybe face. I got shivers just reading your comment. Powder, bullet safety, primer. Repeated over and over for the rest of your life and you will never have an accident. Safety's can fail, they are mechanical. Stay safe bro.

Richard, remind everyone of the specs on your barrel. Manufacturer, bore, twist, contour ect. Good information to refresh on time to time. I hope Super Tuesday goes well for you!

Barrel is a Brux 27 1/2" long, 1 - 20 twist heavy contour. My smooth sized bullet need to measure .4498" to go down with one hand. As the bullet jackets get thinner, like the BE's, I can go to almost .450.
