I am in the market for a case prep station. I am not a big time reloader but I did just complete a 1,500 round job of 38 Spcl for a good buddy. All on a Rock Chucker single stage. I hand twisted all the brass in cleaning pockets. I also prepped 140 cases of .243 once fired brass for him. Trimmed them on a hand cranked RBCS bench mounted trimmer. Hand twisted the pockets, deburred the flash holes from the inside, de-burred and chamfered them all by hand twisting with hand tools.
Never gave this much thought because I never reload this volume for myself. I have realized that if I ever do another big project, I will need one of these. Even if I only do my own stuff, it would be nice to flip a switch and let a motor do the twisting.
So what would you all recommend? Keep in mind, I am generally low volume and can't imagine anything as large as what I just did. I would like to not break the bank but also have something that will last me the rest of my life.
I reload 9mm, 40, 45, 38, 357, 30-30, 243, 308, 7mm mag and soon...270. I might shoot 500-1000 rounds a year in the pistols and 200-300 rds in my rifles.
Suggestion from experience please. Thanks.

I just have the Hornady station with 3 tool attachments : pocket reamer, chamfer, and deburr. The Little Crow Gunworks WFT2 is brilliant and will save you a Benjamin over a Gracy trimmer although it will trim, chamfer, and deburr in one step. I only ream flash holes for precision rifle and I do it by hand since it only has to be done once and I will just do it while watching TV over a couple of sittings with new brass.

Beans.. I feel your pain.. I loaded 4,000 rounds once for a prairie dog shoot and it took me a few months loading in my spare time. Trimmed, de-burred, sized every case., most of which was new brass.. I still have all that brass but most of it is still empty. Shot a lot of dogs that week.... Had a lot of fun... I still do all my case prep by hand but I have three Wilson trimmers set up on a block so I can trim to length, deburr the inside and outside just by moving the case from on trimmer to the next. The flash hole is still done by hand. The automatic electric prep stations would still be nice to have..... And beats me cranking on them handles..

The RCBS trim mate case prep ctr is what I've been using for about 10 plus years. No issues. I prep a couple thousand rounds or more a year for Prarie dogging and paper fun. I think you can pick them up for 100 or so bucks.
