I just received my new lee classic powder measure from Grafs yesterday and had some bugs I worked out and one more problem it doesn't like IMR sr4759 at all it bridges so bad that the measure completly plugs up in about six throws. The first problem was it's rubber wiper getting chewed up and luckily I had a few from my old lee perfect powder measure I got rid of years ago (the wipers are the same). I did take the measure apart and cleaned it with brake clean and put a little graphite on the rotor and wiper assembly and felt for sharp edges but found none. so after the first wiper got chewed up I took it apart again and touched up the ports with emery cloth and ran a bunch of titegroup through it and that settled it down that said It measures the titegroup down to a tenth or two of a grain even at low charges. I Know how to fix the sr4759 problem and called lee and told them but I'm going to wait and see what they do before I mention anymore about that.

I the perfect measurer and I've started setting it up little lighter and then trickle in the rest. It's a great system just can't use it exactly you might have some way over or short in my opinion.

This is the new lee cast iron measure. When I want perfect Ive always thrown the charge a a half grain or more heavier then used a lee .5cc dipper to scoop out a little. It seems for me anyway to be much faster than trickling.

Sorry I haven't been back for awhile to explain how this went for me but my young wife has been keeping me busy Well I called Lee back then and told them about how their classic measure chocked on IMR4759 and told them they needed a larger ID drop tube for this powder in the range of .277 so it wont bridge for IMR4759. The reason I know this is my Hornady LNL measure does the same thing til I put the 30cal and above drop tube in then it measures 4759 down to a 10th of a grain or two.. Lees drop tube is the whole threaded piece that screws into the press or your stand it unscrews from the measure. That said I asked Lee for another to modify for the powder I use and they said best they can do is send a couple of wipers (I knew that wouldn't solve my problem) So I said goodbye and called Grafs and they said send it back so I did. They were nice enough to even pay for shipping back to them.

Thanks for the update. I recently had issues with my Hornady 1500 electric scale. I changed the batteries in it and it seemed to be better but I'll be looking for a good balance beam scale soon.
Always something out seems like.
I've been using my Lee powder dropper to drop my main charge for my smokeless muzzleloader and is crazy accurate with 4198. It doesn't drop little charges well though. As long as they are 40 and larger it drops great.
Are you getting a different dropper?

I had one of those years ago and I remember it working pretty good for most powders. That's why I was so disappointed with their classic.

I've been thinking about getting a auto powder dispenser but not sure if I want to spend the money.
I just bought a rcbs balance beam scale to double check my electronic scale. Had an insurer with it last time today was a different story worked like a charm.

I have used the plastic Lee powder measure for SR4759 for both .270Win and .300H&H cartridges (at least 200 each) without any issues. not familiar with the metal version.
