At 82 the chances of my Cardo doc giving permission to go Alaska are small to none. He know I was weathered in for 6 days on one trip. If I have a problem I need to within reach of a hospital. this means nothing to me, but I have reached a place were my family has the last word...still working out feeling strong but...................
So I have desided to sell my equipment rifle Ball .50 gear and clothes.
If anyone is interested my e mail grizk1@aol.com
I have a bunch of stuff. some brand new never out of the house

No its Alaska or nothing, go here and you will fall in love with it as if it was a beautiful woman.God was smiling when he made Alaska
To step out of the tent in the morning and see the snow capped mountains is worth the price of the trip ..almost to get up to a bull moose is priceless
or watch a Griz in all glory...more than priceless

Hi mooseman,
Your comments elicit vivid fantasy images in my mind and are part of my lifelong dream of hunting Alaska. Getting up in years myself and doubt I will ever get there for lack of physical condition and financial capability.
At least you have your memories of past adventures. And I enjoy watching all the hunting television programs, at least I can live part of my life vicariously through the adventures televised on these programs.
All the best to you, Mike

mooseman.
I hope you get done all that you want to do... I'm only 47 and want to do things I will probably never get to do. I hope you can sell all the stuff you need to sell and I think you can list for sale all you items except the rifle(s) Proboards has a real bad attitude towards the sale of weapons. You can let everyone know you have stuff for sale just don't list the rifle... Good luck sell it all.... I'm sure the guys here will help you get ride of it...
Thanks for hanging around with us guys....
Jeff.

Marty, Mooseman, Bigmoose...Glad to see you here.
I still have the handful of busters you sent me to try. Never got around to it. I know it's hard to let go but as others have said, You've been there you lucky dog! Lived it up big time. Lived large. Like ELmer Keith...."Hell I've been there"
I respect that you value your families will to have the last word. They must really love you. Again, you lucky old dog! Lived and still living the dream!
Life is short they say...play hard they say. And you have. Always been an idol of mine.
Keep that blood pumping and enjoy everything outside Alaska!

mooseman, hope you get to do your Alaskan adventure. You can take solace in knowing you've done it if you don't get to do it again.
I've never been and would consider it a dream come true.

Marty...........good stuff for someone with a .50 and just getting started. On the back side of 72 I am not interested getting more stuff but rather liquidating some of my own..........particularly CF rifles and some hand guns.

Well Guess who ended up with Marty's stuff?
Did I really need it? NO can I use it? most of it I think
Marty has been around the other board for a long time and I kind of consider him a father figure to the board. Even at 82 he still gets out there and works at being the man that he is, I admire that in a guy. So I think more than anything else his "stuff" has some sentimental value to me. I see Marty as an adventurer who savors life, the kind of man I would like to be.
So just saying Marty, I appreciate the deal you gave me and I will put it to good use. I wish you well and pray that you live to 102, maybe someday I can get down to south Florida and pay you a visit.
Wish you the best! BILL
