It’s a bonded cup and core bullet.
I never had much luck with their star tipped bullets.
I’ve had very good groups with the 265 black powder bullets out of my Hankins CVA conversion.

The 40 cal star tip Furys are very good smokeless bullets in a sabot 45 cal. I have shot the 225 grain saboted in 45 break action w/ 54 grains H4198 and in bolt action prefit w/62 grains H4198. Deadly performers on deer and very accurate. Good price and good service with Fury bullefts.

I didn,t like the bullet design. They are accurate as any bullet. But if you hit bone first(as a shoulder shot) the bullet doesn,t expand as it bends the star tip over. Hit perfect broad side and you are good. Fury made at one time a 40cal 250 gr bullet that had a lead tip that was fantastic. But they don,t make it any more.

I did a lot of R&D for Dennis when he was getting started making muzzle loader bullets. His tipped bullets have a slightly lower BC than Kyle's AccuMax and AeroMax but were very accurate for me and yes, they are bonded! His jackets are .025" compared to the Pittman at .021". Dennis advised me that due to the bonding process, the jackets actually get annealed and work much like Kyle's .021" jackets due to the softening. As far as the star tip's? They were a very accurate bullet for me and priced much better than the tipped versions. I would use them to work up loads and then switch to the tipped bullets.

I have shot the 300 gr 45s quiet a bit. Velocity around the 2950 range. THIS IS NOT OUT OF A BREAK ACTION Very accurate out to 500. Has done pretty well on deer. The Pittmans expanded a little bit better it seemed for me But either bullet is a hammer which ever shoots best will get the job done
