I haven’t , but they obturate very easily. Should be very accurate and very frangible.

I’ve shot the 250 BE with the same max charge of IMR4198 as the 275 BE. Thinking there’d be less recoil for the wife, but I can’t tell any difference. The 250 shoots about the same as the 275, ragged hole groups at 100 yards.

I shoot the Parker be 275 with 60 gr powder, had great luck with them last year, this year not so much, lost one nice buck not sure if the scope got knocked off or what, shot it rhe day before and it was dead on at 150 yards, shot this buck at 130 and had lots of blood then nothing ,going back to one of my knights black powder for the rest of the season until I have more time to shoot the smokeless more for next year

The 275BEs are so frangible that you likely got a huge superficial wound.

The 275 BE is a bomb at smokeless speeds The 278 Pittman HC is a better choice if you choose to shoot that weight bullet

Parker BE 275 grain 65 grains of IMR 4198 at ~2600fps vs a 60 pound pig.

About 200 pounds of boar, quartering hard away. He made it about 50 yards after the shot. Same 275 Parker BE leaving the muzzle at ~2600 fps. Shot distance 150 yards. I’ve not seen the Parkers fail on impact vs hogs or deer at or below 2600 fps. I do try to stay away from shoulders with them. I wouldn’t shoot them out of my bolt gun due to the higher velocity, that’s where I prefer Kyle’s bullets.

Yea been there done that. I'm @ 2585 FPS and killed 2 hogs about 90 lbs. Bullets blew up ranging holes no exit wound wasted a lot of meat. Wanted something with more pentation less damage for deer. I purchased a box of 245gr. Hornady Spire points there very accurate and stay together Killed 5 deer this season from 15yards to 150. Last evening shot a big doe at about 75 yards down from tree stand. She was quartering away hit her about the tenderloin broke spine and exit out left front shoulder about the size of a 50-cent piece. Very happy with SML conversion and Spire points

Parkers jackets are only .015" as compared to Kyle's which are .021". The parker's do well at lower velocities due to the easier expansion. As Bill indicated, go with the Pittman hard cores.

I bought a pile of blems from Midway USA last year for dirt cheap. They are another option for the mz's and 450bm.
